Each new Menghai Tuocha weighs 250g each. Different from before, each bag only has 2 pieces. Already a breakthrough in history. Use selected raw material and undergo a traditional pile fermentation process. The tea is round and gorgeous, with suitable thickness and tightness, helpful for the late aging process. The surface is neat, light green color and bright. The tea leaves are young and tender. The tea is pressed evenly. After brewing, having a Menghai smell, taste thick and mellow, the liquid is golden yellow.

Origin Most of the raw materials of Taatea Pu’er tea come from the birthplace of tea trees in the world – China Yunnan Menghai County, the core production area of Pu’er Tea. Not only has a long history, but 7542 is also the largest amount of raw Pu’er tea produced by Menghai Tea Factory. It is a traditional formula and the benchmark of raw Pu’er tea. With the formula of the year 1975, grade 4 tea leaves, mainly bold and sturdy tea leaves inside, young and tender tea leaves on the surface. The speciality of 7542 is the realm of balance, consistency, and harmony. 7542 using the formula invented in 1975 which has been used continuously for 40 years. Its position is unchallengeable even though Taetea keeps released new, classic tea formula. It can also be considered as a family heirloom of Taetea. 7542 <1901> using the traditional packaging, white color as the base, and Taetea red as main with a hint of champion blue. “First place第一名” words were printed at the left of the center. And “Zhong Hua Lao Zi Hao中华老字号” at the right of the center. Clear and easy to be seen.

Taetea – Thick Smell (Raw) (1701)

A gifted scholar in Qing Dynasty wrote in “The History of Pu’er Tea”, “Pu’er tea is famous all over the world, the taste of thick Smell, especially valued by the capital”. This is also the origin of the name of this tea cake.

“Yan酽”, phonetic characters, sound Yan, means tea or wine that tastes thick.

Thick Smell is the newly invented formula by Taetea in 2006, as a classic, drinking series. Thick Smell 1701, made with selected sun-dried big leaf tea from Yunnan, undergoes appropriate fermentation and is pressed with high steam temperature. The smell is strong but not violent, with smoke aroma. Indeed a premium raw tea.

Origin

The core purpose of this tea is to represent the real taste of Pu’er Tea. Not only inherit the tradition of Pu’er tea but also made with premium technology and selected raw material. An affordable good tea for every Pu’er tea lover.

Firstly produced in 1980, is a regular product of Menghai Tea Factory. In 1985, Hong Kong Southern Trading Company start to customize 8582 tea. Compared with 7582, 8582 uses more tea stalk which is better for the late period conversion process. 8582 is too famous at the time which caused the 7582 tea to stop production. 7582 only remakes after the 90’s. It is produced every few years same as the custom-made “Purple Sky” teacake by Southern Company. The price is always higher than the 8592 teacakes made in the same year.
