Menghai Tea Factory, founded in 1940, has now reached its 84th year and marks the important milestone of its 20th anniversary of transformation. Over the decades, the factory has played a pivotal role in advancing the Pu-erh tea industry.

In 1973, the artificial fermentation technique known as “wo dui” was successfully applied at Menghai Tea Factory, representing a major turning point in the history of Pu-erh tea.

The tea “7572” was the first ripe Pu-erh product born from repeated fermentation experiments. Its creation marked the beginning of the “Ripe Pu-erh Era.” First produced in the mid-1970s, “7572” has remained active in the market for decades.

In 2004, Menghai Tea Factory underwent a successful transformation. Through the dedicated efforts of the Dayi team, the brand was expanded into a broader global market. Today, “7572” stands as the most widely produced and longest continuously manufactured ripe Pu-erh tea from Menghai Tea Factory, holding an unshakable place in the hearts of tea enthusiasts.
